| Plot |
| Maggie (Bridget Fonda) is involved in crime,violence and drugs. Her gang breaks into a drug store to obtain more drugs but are caught by the shop owner. A shoot out ensues and everyone is dead but Maggie. Maggie murders the police officer who discovers her and is sentenced to death by lethal injection. She awakes after her execution to find she is not dead and is in a government assasin training facility. Bob (Gabriel Byrne) becomes her mentor and offers the chance to save her life by becoming an assasin. She accepts and with the help of Bob and another teacher Amanda (Anne Bancroft) she transforms into a refined, poised, beautiful assasin. She is releaseed to live her life but with the knowledge she may be contacted at any moment to carry out a kill. While discovering her new world, Maggie meets and falls in love with JP (Dermot Mulroney). She continues to evolve into a kind and loving human being leaving her past behind her, but finds that her secret life is holding her back from her new life and new love. She becomes desparate to find a way out without risking her life or her love. |
